HENRY MEDICAL CENTER Dress Code: Business attire must be worn to General, Clinical and Nursing Orientation. Please refer to Employee Dress Policy for appropriate dress code received form Human Resources. (No blue jeans, Capri pants, sweat suits, shorts, open toed shoes or exposed midriffs allowed) Consider wearing layered clothing to Orientation since the room temperature may not be comfortable for each individual. Click here for a copy of the Henry Medical Center Employee Dress Code Medical Credentials: Employees who are required to have current medical credentials must present their licensure to the Human Resources staff for verification prior to General Orientation. This licensure may include RN, LPN, AART, RRT, or others based on the job. General Orientation Attendance: It is the policy of Henry Medical Center that all new employees must complete General Orientation prior to starting their new position. Location: General Orientation will be held in Classroom C in the Foundation / Education Building adjacent to the Hospital. Please park in front of building. Time: Monday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Please be on time. Medication Assessment Clinical Orientation Attendance: All Clinical employees involved in direct patient care (Nursing-to include Unit Secretaries & Nursing Assistants), Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Cardiopulmonary, & Case Management will attend Clinical Orientation. Location: Foundation / Education Building Time: Tuesday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm *** Laurel Park employees will attend Clinical & Nursing Orientation at Laurel Park. Nursing Orientation Attendance: Nurses will need to take the Medication Assessment following In Processing. Please refer to Medication study guide received from Human Resources. All CCU, Cath Lab, Resource Pool, and ER nurses will take a rhythm strip recognition test. Location: Foundation / Education Building Time: Wednesday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CPR: During General Orientation if you are not certified or have an expired card. It is the policy of Henry Medical Center for all patient care providers have a current American Heart Association CPR card. (HMC does not recognize the American Red Cross CPR card or First Responder CPR card.) Lunch: The cafeteria is on the ground floor of the hospital. All hospital employees will receive a 25% discount on the food they purchased. You must have your employee badge on to receive the discount. Employee Photo ID Badge: Employee photo ID badges will be made on your first day of employment during the General Orientation program. Please come prepared to have your picutre made.
