Letters from HMC employees
I started my nursing career at Henry Medical Center ten years ago, as a NICU nurse. I returned in 2003 in a leadership role, as manager of the Critical Care Unit. I live in Henry County, which gives me a strong tie to what happens here at HMC. I continue to grow at HMC because of the patients and the incredible staff.

I think HMC will emerge as a regional medical center and I am excited and honored to be a part of the development and opportunity of HMC will provide. Our talented teams of professionals are expanding the practice of nursing and enhancing the standards of quality in patient care. I feel I can difference in the care we provide for family, friends and to our community. I look forward to the future and the relationships I will continue to build with customers and staff.

HMC is more than a work place! I consider it a secondary family where the employees and staff are personable, caring, focused, and most of all vision oriented.  The continued opportunities for professional growth and development, the love for patients and the desire to reach out to the general community, and the support from upper management make for a strong environment. Additionally, I feel a sense of belonging with my colleagues.

HMC is strategically located and thus its potential for growth is exponential. The building expansion along with other added facilities and accompanying technology make for a bright future. With a vast increase in population, HMC strives to exceed the expectations and demands of the community by providing quality care, a high level of service, employee satisfaction and corporate citizenship.

First impressions are everlasting. The day I applied for a position at HMC, I noticed that every employee I encountered smiled at me and said “Hello”. I remember thinking that the customer service at this facility must be awesome and if this is the overall disposition of the employees at this facility sign me up. Things have not changed since that day.

I have been employed by HMC since March of 2004, and have had the pleasure of watching the facility expand to accommodate a rapidly growing community. Henry is known for excellent customer service and I am proud to be a part of this facility.

Patient Accounts

I have lived in Henry County for the past twelve years and watched the county grow by leaps and bounds. When I decided to pursue a career in healthcare in 1999, I wanted to work with people I knew and help those in my community; I applied to Henry Medical Center. My first job in the healthcare field was as a Labor and Delivery Technician. HMC has been my home since as I transitioned to a surgical scrub technician in the Operating Department while in nursing school. After graduating from nursing school I worked as a surgical scrub nurse and recently transferred to the Critical Care Unit.  I really enjoy what I do; everyone at Henry is my extended family. No matter how much we grow, our family grows right along with it. Though we are ever expanding, we still maintain that caring spirit with warm welcomes and long good byes. We are continually striving to make Henry the very best and I have no doubt that one day soon we will be the benchmark other medical centers are measured up to.
