How long will it be before I hear from the Nurse Recruiter once I send in my application?

  • Applications are processed upon receipt, The Nurse Recruiter reviews all nursing applications and interviews may be scheduled promptly for competitive applicants. Because of the volume of nursing applications, the Nurse Recruiter will contact you for clarification of application information or to schedule an interview with a manager.

How do I apply for a nursing position at Henry Medical Center?

On Line application: You can apply via this website. Simply choose “Apply Online,”.

How long will my resume/application stay on file?
All applications remain on active status for 90 days.

Do I need to provide my full work history on the job application?
Yes. Your job history provides us with information about the positions you’ve held in the past, as well as the duration of your employment. Providing a chronological listing of all previous held jobs (related and not related to the position you are applying for) is necessary. Salaries are calculated based on years of related experience listed on application.

Will I be considered for positions other than the one I am applying for?
Unless you indicate otherwise, we will consider you for other open positions that you are qualified for, in the facility while your application is on active status.

As a new Henry Medical Center nurse, what kind of orientation will I receive?
Whether you’re a recent graduate or an experienced nurse, all new recruits are given a tailored orientation composed of centralized and decentralized components. The orientation covers a range of topics including, policies, benefits, and department overviews.

How are the nursing units organized at Henry Medical Center?
Henry Medical Center is a community hospital that serves the patient by considering the needs of the individual. Clinical services include perioperative, critical care, med/surg, ortho, emergency care and varied outpatient services, such as wound care, diabetic care, and pain management.

Are there nursing pool opportunities available?
Yes. Please see the job listing for Resource Pool.

Are there weekend nursing opportunities available?
Yes. Individual Units offer weekend opportunities (WEO). It will be identified on job listing as WEO.

When will I be eligible for a job transfer?
We strongly encourage new hires to remain in a position for six months before requesting a transfer.

What if I don’t have an active Georgia Nursing License?
Prior to being hired you need a current Georgia Nursing License, unless you are a graduate nurse (Intern).

Do you hire graduate nurses?
Yes. We also offer Graduate Nurse Intern Programs in January and June.

How can I get salary information?
Salary information is discussed at the time of your interview. If you want to obtain this information before applying stop by the Nurse Recruiter’s office located in the Education Department Office on the 2nd floor of the Education Building.

Do you provide tuition reimbursement?
We provide up to $4,000 a year in educational assistance to all full time employees of the hospital and up to $2,000 for all part time with benefits employees. The employee must be in his/her position for one year before (s)he is eligible for this benefit.

I’m scheduled for an interview. Where should I park?
Please park in the Education Building parking lot to the north of the main hospital. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
