Charles F. Scott, President & CEO
Charles F. Scott became President and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Medical Center in March 2007. He has over 32 years of experience as a healthcare executive, including nine years as President and CEO. Most recently, Scott served as the President and CEO of Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. Other hospital management positions throughout his career include top posts at Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, FL; Memorial Hospital and Town & Country Hospital in Tampa, FL; and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL.
Scott received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Lynnette Ball,
Vice President &
Chief Nursing Officer
Lynnette Ball brings to HMC 15 years experience as a CNO in a variety of hospitals, including WakeMed Hospital System in Raleigh, NC, North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, GA, and, most recently, St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She also has consulting experience in the areas of operations, staffing, and clinical documentation.
A native of North Carolina, Ball received a B.S., Nursing degree from North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, NC and a M.P.A., Health and Administration degree from University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Ball joined our team in December 2007.
Claude Carruth,
Vice President & CFO
Claude became Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Henry Medical Center in January 2003. Prior to joining HMC, Carruth spent 27 years in the practice of public accounting with the international professional service firms of Pannell Kerr Forster and Coopers & Lybrand. He served as a health care industry partner with these firms where he was responsible for services to hospitals and other health care providers throughout the southeastern United States. Carruth has been involved with the Hospital Authority of Henry County and Henry Medical Center continuously since the hospital’s opening in 1979.
Carruth received a B.B.A. degree in accounting from Georgia State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jeff Cooper,
Vice President of Operations
Jeffrey A. Cooper began his tenure at Henry Medical Center in September of 1992 and currently serves as the Vice President of Operations. Prior to his employment at Henry Medical Center, Cooper worked as an operations improvement consultant for a national consulting firm and at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Asheville, NC.
Cooper has a B.S. in Health Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech and a M.S. in Health Administration from Central Michigan University.
An active member of the community, Cooper is immediate past president of the Henry County Rotary Club and serves on the Henry County Chamber’s Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors.
Terry Wilk,
Vice President &
Chief Information Officer
Terry became Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Henry Medical Center in July 2007. Wilk comes to HMC from Southern Regional Health System where he was the VP and CIO for 8 years. Wilk was previously the VP and CIO at both Fairview Health System (part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System) in Cleveland, Ohio and St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He also worked at Lehigh Valley Health System in Allentown, PA and Ernst & Young in Cleveland, Ohio.
Wilk received his M.B.A from Case Western Reserve University and his B.B.A. from Cleveland State University, both in Cleveland, Ohio.
