Tobacco Truth Education Every day in the United States, we know that approximately 6,000 children join the ranks of cigarette smokers. Approximately 3,000 children will become addicted to tobacco and the chemical additives in cigarettes, and 1,000 will eventually die from tobacco-related illness. Each October and November, Henry Medical Center sponsors Tobacco Truth Education. Encouraging participation from every student and school in Henry County, children attend programs and participate in activies at school and at other community events. Our goal is to teach kids the "truth" about tobacco and equip them with the knowledge so they can say "No" to tobacco.
